Rob Dean's Career & Achievements

Rob Dean is an accomplished  entrepreneur and legal technology innovator with extensive experience in litigation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. 

As a lawyer, Rob successfully founded and operated his own law practice, focusing on criminal defense, personal injury, and complex business litigation. His firm distinguished itself through exceptional client service, innovative paperless office solutions, AI-driven legal software, and automation, reflecting Rob’s commitment to modernizing traditional legal practices.

Rob’s diverse legal career included significant experience advocating for plaintiffs in high-stakes personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, as well as sophisticated business disputes involving trade secret misappropriation and non-compete agreements.

Early in his career as an Assistant Prosecutor, Rob gained substantial courtroom experience, managing over 350 criminal cases and jury trials involving serious felonies and misdemeanors. His forward-thinking approach led him to pioneer the use of tablet computers for trial preparation and courtroom presentations.

Beyond his litigation practice, Rob founded WalkingOffice, a respected cybersecurity and technology journal for legal professionals, highlighting advancements in data management, SaaS platforms, and cybersecurity for corporate law firms.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, graduating as a Horace H. Rackham Scholar and contributor to The Michigan Daily.
